Leadership Team

  • Sasha Calder – Co-Founder

Sasha Calder is a resilience and impact strategist with over 15 years of experience helping investors and operators turn risk into long-term value. She specializes in hard-to-abate sectors—biotech, chemicals, beauty, and nutrition—where the stakes are high, and the path to growth requires clarity, discipline, and systems-level thinking.

As the founder of Resilience, Sasha advises private equity firms, family offices, and growth-stage companies on how to build businesses that can weather volatility and scale with integrity. Her work focuses on operational risk, supply chain strategy, sustainability integration, and investor positioning—ensuring that leadership teams are not only prepared for disruption, but actively capitalizing on it.

Previously, Sasha served as Vice President of Impact at Geno, a global leader in sustainable materials. There, she led teams across Sustainability, Government Affairs, Communications, and Climate Investor Relations. Her leadership helped reposition Geno as a frontrunner in the transition to bio-based materials, securing multimillion-dollar U.S. government grants and catalyzing a $1 billion investment from Hyosung Corporation to commercialize plant-based BDO at scale. She also played a key role in launching Future Origins, a $150 million joint venture with Unilever, Kao, and L’Oréal to develop sustainable alternatives to palm oil.

Sasha’s career began in financial research, studying risk frameworks at a New York-based think tank. She later built and led sustainability strategies at consumer brands including Beautycounter—where she developed responsible sourcing, sustainable packaging, and climate initiatives—and Josie Maran Cosmetics, where she managed a $100 million impact fund focused on climate resilience, women’s empowerment, and entrepreneurship.

Sasha holds a Master’s degree in Responsible Management and Sustainable Economic Development from the United Nations University for Peace (summa cum laude) and a Bachelor's in Anthropology with a Finance focus from UC Santa Cruz (magna cum laude, High Honors). She’s been recognized as an Energy and Environment Leader (2023), Assent Top 100 Sustainability Leader (2019), and GreenBiz 30 Under 30 (2016).

She has served on All Good’s Board of Advisors, as Chair of Surfrider LA, and as a founding member of both the Pando Populus CSO Taskforce and the B Corp Climate Collaborative’s Supply Chain Working Group.

  • Kelly Behrend – Co-Founder

Kelly Elizabeth Behrend is a sustainability and social impact strategist with a 15+ year track record track record catalyzing the environmental, social, and economic bottom line for visionary entrepreneurs, high-growth startups, Fortune 500 companies, and impact-driven nonprofits across three dozen countries and in a range of industries such as technology, manufacturing, consumer products, retail, and entertainment. Her portfolio of work includes supporting clients like PwC, Live Nation, Nike, Coca-Cola, the Bonner Foundation, and the OM Foundation to define and deliver impact strategies that shape their industries.

Most recently, Kelly helped guide the Salvadoran startup Hugo into a regional, impact-driven superapp, leading to its acquisition by global tech giant Delivery Hero in the highest-valued tech exit in Central American history ($150M).

Kelly served as Head of Impact Advisory Services for Panorama Capital, Central America’s leading venture fund, where she guided start-ups across Central America to build more resilient business models and regenerative practices into their work. She is also an early investor and advisor to the emerging healthy snack brand Brutal, focused on developing high-protein products made from regeneratively grown ingredients.

She is also the co-founder of NOURI, a creative group reimagining how we live, work, and build — integrating the philosophy of a nourishing life into regenerative residential, commercial, and experiential projects. NOURI is currently breaking ground on its first permaculture-centered community, Aldea Comporta, in Portugal, with new developments emerging soon in Costa Rica and South Africa.

Kelly holds a B.A. in International Studies from the University of Richmond, where she graduated magna cum laude as a Bonner Scholar with a focus on peace and conflict.
